There are many colorful traditional weekly markets around Sapa area which visitors can start their trip from Lao Cai station by sharing or private bus rightway after arriving from Hanoi – Lao Cai night train or from Sapa town. It takes 02 hours from Lai Cai railway station or 3 hours from Sapa. 7:00 AM – Tour starts from Sapa or you will be picked up from Lao Cai station at 8:00 AM transfer to traditional hill tribes market where you’ll want to stock up on water buffalo, pigs and horses. To know about handicrafts made by some of the 10 Montagnard groups living near here – Flower Hmong, Dzao, Giay (Nhang), Han (Hoa), Xa Fang, Lachi, Nung, Phula, Thai and Thulao will have a welcome feeling at any house of the hospitable people. It depends on your departure date from Hanoi it can be one of the markets scheduled bellowed. Most of the markets listed bellowed will take 02 hours from Lai Cai railway station or 03 hours from Sapa.
The tour intinerary will be adding more interesting activities such as: adventure boat trip along Chay River, soft trekking to visit hill tribe villages nearby their markets or on the way back to Lao Cai / Sapa; visiting Vietnam-China border gate where the Red river comes into Vietnam land.
